SURELY FREEMASONS ARE A SECRET SOCIETY AND AS SUCH THIS WEBSITE IS FAKE?
There was a time when Freesmasons had no alternative but to carry out their duties in secret but this has not been the case for a very long time. Although we do seem to be persecuted by certain aspects of the media, we are not a secret society and we are normal men, trying to be the best we can be.
FREESMASONRY IS MISOGYNISTIC SOCIETY?
Not true at all. There are many, many ladies involved in Freemasonry. Whether that is because they are members of their own Lodge or as wives and partners of Freesmasons, helping them with fundraising etc. In fact our own Ladies take advantage of our meeting night to go out and have their own get together, normally in a local pub or restaurant.
That said the majority of our Lodges are men's lodges, and one could say there are female only bastions too, such as The Women's Institute...
